Position Available: Creditors Clerk

The Flying Pig is looking for a vibrant, passionate about numbers and personal addition to our ever growing team.

Salary Range: R13,500 – R21,500 based on experience. Applicants should have 3-5 years of relevant experience and provide at least three strong references.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Invoice and Credit Note Processing: Verify and record invoices and credit notes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
2. Accounts Payable Management: Maintain precise creditor account records, reconcile statements, and address discrepancies.
3. Payment Handling: Coordinate and execute payments through checks, electronic transfers, or credit card transactions.
4. Vendor Relations: Communicate with suppliers to resolve issues, respond to queries, and negotiate payment terms.
5. Account Reconciliations: Conduct regular creditor account reconciliations and correct any identified errors or discrepancies.
6. Data Management: Ensure accurate and compliant financial record-keeping while upholding data integrity.
7. Compliance and Reporting: Adhere to regulatory standards, generate financial reports, and offer management financial insights.
8. Cash Flow Oversight: Monitor and forecast payments to manage cash flow effectively and ensure timely settlements.
9. Supplier Relationship Building: Foster and sustain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors.
10. Fraud Prevention: Verify invoices and payments to mitigate the risk of fraudulent activities.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to assist with debtors and possess some accounting background.
